Spock was at his best with being funny, yet being or without showing emotion in his interactions/conversations with Dr McCoy.

The fact that an actresses face playing a Vulcan has to be without emotion is a good point. This would narrow down the alternate choices of who else could have played the part of T'Pol. If you'll forgive me for saying so, I don't think Jolene Blalock did such a good job her first season. She came off as very rude and unlikeable. My theory is that she thought playing a Vulcan would be easy (she used to be a model), but found out quickly how wrong she was. I suspect that is why the writers gave her that story line about becoming addicted to that drug, so that she could legitamately insert more emotion into her part. After that, it became easier for her.

only few people. leonard nimoy (spok) was pretty good too Nimoy could convey emotions just through a raised eyebrow (although occassionally he overdid it, I have to admit). Human audiences expect some indication of emotion, not just in Vulcans, but also in androids and secret agents. That is what good actors are supposed to do, show us what the character is feeling over and above the words in the dialogue.

vulcans are arrogant, and t'pol was pretty arrogant. I don't expect vulcans or androids to be emotional. data was emotionless, an he did his part very good. very funny when he tries to laugh.

I don't think so. Certain Vulcans (like the ambassador) give the impression of being arrogant, because of they don't show emotion. See what I mean?

With my personality, I could play a good Vulcan...that is when I'm not in a joking mood. One thing about T'Pol was that though she did not display emotion, there was a sensual way about her.

There were a few scenes with T'Pol in the De-con chamber. She was barely wearing anything.
