I thought the whole point was that they were stranded far, far from home by going through an artificial wormhole. If they met other Federation ships who also happened to go through wormholes and end up in the same place, it would start to get kind of ridiculous, wouldn't it? Now, I'm not really that familiar with VOY, so take that into consideration when you answer.

Meeting one Federation ship is plausible because the Caretaker could quite possibly have pulled them into the Delta Quadrant in the same way that it did Voyager and the Maquis ship but more would have pushed the boundaries a bit!
Incidentally the fish things were never actually given any name past "nucleogenic aliens".
Also, wasn't there a Cardassian ship mentioned at one point as having been pulled through at the same time as Voyager and the Maquis?

Well, Gul Evek was giving chase to Chakotay's Maquis ship, but I believe his ship was destroyed rather than being pulled to the Delta Quadrant along with Chakotay's ship.

I just remember the episode with Seven going a bit mad and playing Janeway and Chakotay off against each other using the Cardassian ship.

I can't think of the title off-hand, but I believe you're referring to the episode where Seven, after assimilating information from Voyager's computer, starts to see conspiracies. There was a Cardassian ship chasing Chakotay's Maquis vessel, and that may have played a part in it. But it's been a long time since I've seen the episode.

I watched both parts and it was quite good. Didn't like thEquinox's captain and the innocent plant aliens didn't see it coming.*sighs*. Why could they get back to Earth qiucker than Voyager?
