I like all of the Federation ship classes and it was a tough choice to make. I chose The Akira and Defiant class ships as favorites.

Since the Constitution and Enterprise classes aren't listed, I had to go with Excelsior.

there were only 8 options. if not there were: danube, yeager, steamrunner, norway, constitution, constellation, suyuz, dedalus, olimpic, oberth, sabre, ambassador, constitution 2 ecc....

yes there are more: apollo, cheyenne, rigel, antares, deneva, renaissance, challenger, bradbury, springfield, freedom, istambull, yorkshire, wambundu, andromeda, korolev, sydney, new orleans, mediterranean, chimera, niagara, merced, hokule'a, sequoia, yellowstone, zodiac, surak and stop I think...

Ambruz the akira class being partly based on the nx class is an interesting and plausable idea. They have a lot of similarities.

Like the Soyuz class is similar to the Reliant class.

I don't know where you're getting these ship classes from. I remember in the series they mentioned only a few different kinds of ships, and rarely called them by name.
The USS Bozeman was a Soyuz class. I remember that. The USS Horatio was an Ambassador class.
Then I remember the science vessels Brittain and Vigo, but I don't recall their classes mentioned.
