This was on TV a few weeks back. I forgot how much I loved this horrible, horrible episode. Man, that Rocketeer guy can't act! And Riker being a lecher to Teri Hatcher! This episode is priceless.
Did you wonder whether the producers were trying to set him up, Gary Seven-style? I mean, they made this character be so cool, or attempted to make him seem cool. I get the feeling that the thought was, "Let's make people demand more Okona!"

It's been awhile since I have seen this episode. I do remember the small space ships that were far less advanced than the Enterprise-D trying to threaten them by locking lasers on them. It was funny how Picard and Worf responded to this! It was all because of them have that outrages Okona on board!

Very outrages I would say!! Worf referred to the 2 small feuding ships as "Glob Flies". Data explained to Captain Picard that they are Klingon flies smaller than a mosquito with no bite and no sting, but are just pests and are no threat to the Enterprise-D what so ever!! They are kind of like gnats!!

But seriously, commander Riker was a pig in this episode!

Yes he was, but this is nothing new since he usually behaves this way in this area!

So not a gentleman.

That would depend on how being a gentleman is defined. Riker was like Kirk with the ladies, but was well behaved in other ways.

Yeah, but man that was uncomfortable at times.

Riker was uncomfortable at times, but not as much as Picard was around children. Okona didn't seem to be uncomfortable about much of anything

True. Riker was my favorite character as a kid. I wanted to grow up to be just like him.

This is interesting! How close to Riker did you end up being like? What do you think of Riker's transporter duplicate Thomas?

Well, I'm short and have a Mountain Dew gut. I can be grumpy like Riker, though.

I thought it was a pretty good story, myself. I don't remember Riker acting like a "lecher" though. When was this?

He made an off-color comment about Teri Hatcher's character that just sounded wrong. I can't remember what it was, though.
