The past few years we've been practically inundated with them -- "Iron Man", "Iron Man II", two different versions of the Hulk, all those X-men and Fantastic Four movies. Frankly I'm underwhelmed by all of them. Maybe it's because the plot lines stray so far from the original comic books I remember. But I did like "Ghost Rider".

You'd probably like Thor then. Iron Man i and 2 weren't too bad but I actualy get tired of movies that are too much special effects.

I know what you mean. I was watching all three of the "Matrix" movies this past weekend, and I couldn't help noticing how my attention lagged during the combat scenes. I mean, it's so painfully obvious that these are animated figures, so it's hard to feel like the characters are actually in any danger. Contrast that with the exciting sword duels in an older movie like "The Princess Bride" for example. Every time I watch that movie, I'm just rivetted, mainly because these are real flesh and blood people fighting.

Oh the Princess Bride! Ihaven't seen that in years it seems like! But how about Zorro? Would he count as a superhero?

It's your topic, Commander, so I suppose it's up to you! I would think if Batman and the Scarlet Pimpernel count as superheroines, Zorro would too. Speaking of which, I liked the first movie, but the second one was too over the top!

The second one? What was so bad about the second one?

I think it was the scene where Zorro had his horse leap onto the roof of a moving train!

Oh yeah I see what you mean! No way a horse could jump onto a train without breaking all four legs! That was more towards the end of the movie thought wasn't it?

I'm afraid not. I never was much of a fan of DC comics anyway, let alone Green Lantern.
