I see what you mean. A haunted hotel isnt all that scary. Supposedly your worst fear is in one of the room bu in an infinite hotel what are the odds youre going to run into it? All you'd have to do is stay out of the rooms, right? I don't know. People seem to have this compulsion to frighten themselves. If you were told your darkest fear was in one of the rooms, wouldn't you be curious? Wouldn't you try to find it? Even I'd be tempted.

Okay then... "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship!" Discuss! Ny Aunt Beru taught me if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all. Errr the actress who played Nefertiti was nice. I woudnt mind seeing her again. Good point. I am going to criticize it just a little bit, if only because I'm hoping to start a conversation. What throws me is how erratic this new Doctor seems. The story begins with the zany and almost slapstick way the Doctor rounds up his "gang", as if the whole thing is just a lark. "Gee whiz come and see this cool spaceship in the 24th century!" Oh and they have to have a time limit. Six hours or the missiles will be targetted. They run around cracking jokes at one another and just being silly. Suddenly without warning it turns deathly serious when the villain shoots Rory's father and says, "The next one will be lethal!" But then not two minutes later comes a scene straight out of a Scooby Doo cartoon, with the gang escaping the deadly robots on the back of a triceratops, laser beams shooting down the corridor and miraculously not coming close to hitting anybody!

It just didnt make a lot of sense to me. a spaceship powerd by ocean waves? I mean really! That's the kind of thing you'd expect to find in a Douglas Adams novel, say. I don't have any problem with humor in the right place. It's just that they try so hard to be "zany", it's hard for me to take anything that happens seriously. I mean, back in the Tennant days I was frightened of Daleks. The mere sight of one sent chills down my spine. Nowadays I don't even bat an eyelash. Oh, the Doctor is suddenly surrounded by millions of Daleks eh? Ho hum. I know that at the last second he'll suddenly come up with some totally ridiculous solution to the problem that would never actually work!

Yeah waht did he do in this one? found a homing device on the big ship wasnt it? and put in on Soloman's ship! I was rolling my eyes! as if the missiles wouldn't just be aimed by radar or something at the bulk of the ship! what did it need a homing device for?

Here's something you guys might find interesting. Freema Agyeman, former companion (Martha Jones), now plays on "Law & Order UK". Guess who plays the Crown Prosecutor, her boss? None other than Peter Davison, former Doctor Who!

Please don't feel intimidated because Luke and I picked on it. The whole purpose of a forum is to say what you think. What do you like about it? Which is your favorite Doctor (Ecclestone, Tennant, or Smith)? Favorite Companion? Favorite episodes?

Yeah, I've heard about a lot of the recent episodes in series 7, Atoz 77.
David Tennant seems to be the height of the NuWho.
I'm thinking of checking out the original starting with William Hartnell.

Judging from the last episodes I've seen, it has veered straight over into pure fantasy. It's a shame really, because at one time it was pretty good. But the show is still apparently very popular, so I guess people actually do like that sort of thing!
