I would like to say something previously mentioned about the doctor... ziaratiigan said the doctor had a name. He may have been made to look and sound like a former medical staff officer, but the doctor does not have a name. I can remember an episode where the crew encountered a species that could not talk (they thought they spoke telepathically), and the doctor, who was trying to communicate wtih one of the species, named him. Seven informed the doctor it only took him days to name this creature, and yet it was taking him years to find a name for himself. He said that he was a "complex being," and it was impossible to find a name for himself that suited him. Also, in the last episode where the crew was having a reunion of the return of Voyager after 27 years in the Delta Quadrant, the doctor showed up with his new wife, and Harry Kim adressed him as "The Doctor." If he had a name, would Harry have not called him by it? The Doctor did mention his wife, but he had no mention of his name. Perhaps in mentioning his wife's last name, he was stating his also... but I do not remember any specific mentions of the Doctor himself having a name.

I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that the doctor had given himself a name in that final episode, because he said he had to have one to get married. It was a dull name, though. I can't even remembe what it was.

Now that you mention it...wasn't it "Joe" or something?
Still, Jenna's point is still valid. Obviously the doctor didn't chose that name until something like 20 years after the show was over, because Harry Kim didn't know that he had a name.

back on topic for a moment with the Fyler, One thinng I never understood is how they managed to build and FIT a warp core so powerfull, those Torpedoes for example according the spec readouts require almsot as much power as a Photon Burst turret, how does that work? Also why does it seem so much bigger on the inside, Doctor? On the design front I thougt it was a sweet, sleek look with nice choises of coluration but Mr Paris should have alteaslt tried to bend the captains ear on the fins thought right?

I like the delta flyer. I am sure it could easily defeat a runabout in battle. When they were designing it, I was disappointed when Tuvok deleted the fins. It does seem like Voyager loses an awful lot of shuttles and that they are low on resources a lot. It does make me wonder how they manage to repair and replace all those shuttles.....Hm perhaps they have an excellent shuttle building and repair team.

The Delta Flyer was awesome it injected a bit of fun into the series I think.
Pretty sure that they made a new one, and the 2nd one didn't have so many old style buttons like the first one?

Didn't Kim, Torres, and Seven also help design and build it?
