Parallels was one of my favorite STNG episodes. It was interesting when Worf who was returning from a battlef tournament went through an anomaly in a shuttle. After his return to the Ent-D he finds himself shifting through alternate realities/universes where things and people change, yet he remains the same. I liked the ending with all those countless Ent-DS from all those other universes who would eventually filled this universe had they not solved the problem. It makes me wonder about all the "what ifs in life good, bad or otherwise."

Ah yes, "What if...?" -- some would say one of mankind's favorite questions...

There are an infinite number of possibilities so it's actually possible!

The Vulcan's have a saying "infinite diversity in infinite combinations" They were not referring to an infinite number of parallel universes, but I think it can apply to this to.

I agree that The ending was pretty neat with all the Enterprises.

The ending was good with all those Enterprise-D's. I felt bad for the one that came from the universe where the Borg had won and the battered Enterprise-D was one of the last ships left. In other Scifi series like Star-Gate SG1, they call it the "Multi-verse" not the "Universe" because of the theory of that anything that can happen, does happen somewhere in an infinite number of parallel universes existing in the same space/time , but out of phase with each other. I know this isn't an exact quote!

I hope they play this episode again soon! The sci-fi and I don't like the change to syfy!!!!...channel keeps playing only a few episodes of STNG in their once a week 4 episode mini-marathon! The multi verse plot in other sci-fi shows reminds me of this episode often!!! I think I may have this episode on tape! ?

Syfy does seems to be showing them in order. They're in Season Four right now. When does this episode come up?

I'm not sure, but I think Parallels is season 6 or 7. I will look it up in my Star Trek encyclopedia when I'm more awake and post it here.
