I liked the interaction between Trip and Malcom when they thought enterprise had been destroyed. They thought they were going to die and nearly did. What would you do in a situation like this. Being trapped somewhere with hours/days to live. How would you spend your time? I know I would make the most of it!

I thought it was over-dramatized a little bit. They had to completely exaggerate their reactions in order to create enough conflict to sustain the story for an hour. Once they both came to terms with the situation, it was alright, but it's hard to make a story like that interesting. If I were in that situtation, I guess I would sit quietly, try to conserve as much oxygen as possible, and wait. Which I noticed neither of them did!

I do agree that they didn't handle their situation very good most of the time and that the over dramatization was for effect. I would not want to spend my last days/hour bickering over trivial matters, making morbid log entries and the sort. I would do everything I could to get rescued. I would reminisce about good times in my life and prepare myself for the inevitable, if not rescued.

If It were Me, I'd Just stay Calm And Think Of Ways To Help Out, Rather Than Panic. As I Have Been In Situations Like This Before! so I Pretty Much Know what To Do!

Leopardessgirl. I agree with you as I have been in many emergency situations and did very well in them. At times its the every day things that can drive me nuts. I Think that when Trip and Malcome blew up the pods impulse engine to get enterprises attention was an act of desperation that could have not worked but, lucky for them enterprise detected it, was close enough to rescue them with only a couple hours to spare.

Reminds you of a similar situation in the Original Series, doesn't it?

Shuttle pod one had suffered some damage due to being hit with fast small moving rocks/meteors. They lost much of their oxygen supply when they were hit, one of the tanks was ruptured.

Fashions in shuttlecraft design apparently come and go, just as everything else. In the 23rd century, they were rarely used (because of the transporter system), so they were apparently designed to be utilitarian, compact and easily stored.

Atoz. I didn't know you were a shuttle craft fashion expert...lol. It does stand to reason that the slyle of shuttle craft would change with the times.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the shuttles from the Ent-D were the worst looking out of all of them!

I don't know, I thought they were sort of neat, except that the two-man versions looked a little top heavy.
