The most interesting release is not even movie related - the Hot Wheels ship models. They are about four inches long, somewhat detailed. There might be a JJprise coming, but I did not see one in the store. The Reliant was particularly nice.

There indeed is a "JJprise" coming, but not yet. They said so at the last convention I attended.

LOL! Shameless Micromachine plug... only about an hour or so left so check these out before they warp away (can't believe I just said that...)! Star Trek Micro Machine One Penny Listings!Seriously, the vintage Micro machines are better merchandise than most of what's out there now (barring those newer Hotwheels ships... those are pretty fly.. )

Yes, I got some of the Hot Wheels models -- the Enterprise, the Enterprise D, and the Reliant (those were all my local Walmart had). I noticed a novelization of the movie is already out, written by Alan Dean Foster.

Ooh, I like ADF. He did a very interesting Star Wars book called Splinter of the Mind's Eye.

I've bought Spock, Kirk and McCoy action figures ^^ (and the larger ones too) They were about 10 bucks each at my local store and are pretty cool I might say so myself But the only thing that bothers me about the McCoy one is that he's "Cadet McCoy" and doesn't get to wear his cool blue outfit Oh well, at least McCoy came with his hypospray *giggles*

I have many dvd boxsets, I like collect the tv series. ...Star Trek Deep Space Nine is the best acted, written, directed, and produced television series of all time, not just of the Star Treks. It goes far beyond standard science fiction and ventures into the realm of things like spirituality and even metaphysics. It's the best Star Trek series because it is the most realistic. The other series are mainly episodic, with the Enterprise crew solving whatever problem they encounter, and then triumphantly warping off into space at the end of the episode.
