I agree with Tom. There's something about the Intrepid's design that makes it indomitable, but I can't quite place it. GIFs below so you can figure it out.

Am I the only one who wants the DS9 station?
The cardassian archways and windows, the cardassian architecture, the cardassian glowing panels. It doesn't go anywhere fast, but it's pretty lovely to look at.
It's all so lovely, now that the place has been cleaned up a bit...now that they stopped the vole fights.
Isn't she cute?

Each of those options has defining characteristics. Things that make them unique. DS9 for example, took on a Klingon Task force and the way Sisko talked about the station made it seem far more imposing. Just words about something can make it sound better.

Ah, ha!!
You are assuming that everyone wants their ships for going boom!
Some want the best science & exploration ships. If you are a doctor, you want a kick butt sick bay, maybe decks and decks of labs...
I personally want my ship to have places to party. Holosuites galore. A bar at every corner.
I would choose Quark's over Ten Forward, anytime.
But honestly, I want to have the U.S.S. Risa. Think I can commission one?

Perhaps not with a U.s.s. IFF, but I'd let you do it.

Oh, we'd have a great time. A party ship, all the way.
Problem is, I'd probably forget to put a weapons system on board. I'd fill the weapons bay with kegs, and everyone would be off duty all the time.
We'd need a few good security people to protect us in case we encountered some rogue Klingons or Cardassians... On the other hand, if they came aboard, I might have a better time...
To quote that classic Saturday Night Live episode where Patrick Stewart (as the host) played Captain Stubin of the Love Boat...*
*From Wikipedia: A 1994 episode of Saturday Night Live featured a parody entitled Love Boat: The Next Generation, featuring host Patrick Stewart playing Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who, with his crew, gets involved in Love Boat-type adventures on a starship.

Just don't fly Fed colours and you'll be fine. Tell me your exterior colour scheme and I'll play escort for you. There's a small fee of course....

For the I.F.F. Risa? Hot pink.
Giggity-giggity-giggity goo!
Personally, I think my private shuttle would have to be black. The Starship Noir. With paintings of Elvis on Black Velvet in the observation lounge. Oh, wait, that would be on the party ship...
This brings up another question, why don't we see more black ships? If you turn out the lights, it's a really cheap version of a cloaking device. A can of spray paint, and you've got instant stealth capabilities.

Heegitty-heegitty-hoo! Hot pink is perfect! Stun our enemies with our sexy paint! Make them join the party!
P.S. The U.s.s. Monitor's (from Shat's books) black. PP.S IFF means Identify Friend/Foe

Ah, cr*p, what do I know about ships? This dame don't know nothing bout ships. She can tell a good glass of Kanar a mile away, but what the heck does she know about ships?
I'm a lover, not a fighter!
D*mmit Jim! I'm a drunk, not a pilot!
You better take the helm, darlin. I'm keepin the seats warm in the holodeck bar.

The Enterprise E is just the best...it looked great in Nemesis.
After that my fave ship would be Voyager.
