Garak was an interesting character! He used to be a Carddassian secret agent. I liked how he got the Romulans to join the war with the Federation and Klingons against the Dominion. When Sisko's diplomacy with the Romulan senator failed, Garak rigged their ship to blow up and made it look like the Dominion was responsible.

Kijuro. This must be a quote from Garek when he was being interrogated by Klingons....right? It sounds like something Garek would say!! ;D

Umm, I think it was during a bar fight shortly after the Second Federation/Klingon War and during the Klingon/Cardassian War.

Kijuro. That sounds about right!
It always amused me when Garek would say he was a simple tailor, while being questioned/investigated about something and he was actually up to something. He was a big help to the Federation during the Dominion war though!

My favorite married characters were Worf & Jadzia Dax. It was so sad when Jadzia died. Ezri became the 8th host after Jadzia death. Worf found it very uncomfortable to be around Ezri Dax, because she was part of Jadzia Dax
Imagine having 8 peoples memories in your body. How did Ezri Dax find her own personality or was her personality a combination of all 8 hosts?

I just thought, Worf really did have bad luck with love! Alexanders mother died and Jadzia! Poor Worf

Good point, can't help his habit of pushing people away.
My favourite character isn't on this list - Doctor Bashir.

You've said. Multiple times - but who do you really *like* and why? I like Bashir's optimism and sarcasm. I think it might also help that he's British like me!

Well, I liked Garak most of all first, I liked his cinism and teaching Bashir about real life. But then he started to lose his calmness and charm. Claustrophobia, sudden son's feelings towards Tein. They screwed him.
Also I liked Bashir, his sense of humor and style and a boyish behavour. But he is too much idealist for me.
Quark remained the nice guy really. He is cinical, great sence of humor, very interesting point of view on things. But he is too ugly to be a favorite character )
That leaves only Jadzia Dax.

May seem funny but my favourite DS9 charecter isn't Dax. Infact I think it is Bashir. Like Arkroyal, it helped that he was british. And I loved his optemism and the way he used to annoy O'Brian. Also his story line including the geneticaly enginered bit was very interesting. I also loved the ongoing friendship between Bashir and O'Brian. O'Brian was a very amusing charecter as well. I liked his...ahem...way of putting things. I basically liked all the DS9 characters except Kira I think. Kira was a bit too whiney for my liking. Yes I know she had to whine about but still!
