Another slight correction -- Luke pointed out to me that in "The Galileo Seven" (Season Two), Gaetano was NOT a red shirt, but a gold shirt. It doesn't really alter the conclusion by that much, though.

It doesn't really alter the conclusion by that much, though. Agreed! I know they lost at least one other man in "The Galileo 7" but were there more than 2 men killed? I remember the first one who was not Guitano, was up on high ground and took a spear in the back.

Yes, they lost Gaetano and Latimer, both gold shirts.

How many blue shirts did they lose if any? I think I remember one...not sure. it's been a long time!

That's true - then again from what I remember the blue shirts tended not to go on away missions, maybe because most of the science stuff is on the ship?
