Being a fan of the show I began reading the TOS novels a few months ago and have been happily plowing through them since. The last one that I've finished has left me with some unanswered questions though, I'm hoping some one here might be able to help.
I finished Shadows on the Sun by Michael Friendman, a story about McCoy which covers his past history, especially about his ex-wife. The book was great, but it ends just as the original crew of the enterprise are to retire (after Genesis and Rura Penthe).
My question is, does anyone know of any novels that address the original crew or McCoy specifially, after this point? The book left off on a rather sad note and I would love to find out what happens to McCoy in his later years, and there doesn't seem to be anything difinitive on Memory-Alpha.

I can't help you, because I generally don't like the novels. I've read a few, and they don't seem to get the characters right in my opinion.

I have read some Trek novels. Some were well done and others I would not recomend........Atoz said something about them not getting the characters right and I agree!

You need to go to Memory Beta. It's like Memory Alpha, but it includes the novels.
