Reed might just be the surprise winner

Only because nobody is voting over the holidays, apparently.

Well, I was hoping for more voters, especially since we were having voters in the double digits early on. It's tied anyway, so i really can't close it now. I'll wait a little longer.

I personally feel that the Kirk vs O'brien poll should be reopened. Only six people voted.

That was actually the most successful poll out of the four matches in the quadrant championships. The other three had 5 or 4 voters. So, i don't quite understand why you think that one should be reopened. Feel free to explain...I'm may be missing something.

It just doesn't make sense to me that O'brien would beat out Kirk unless someone were pulling our legs, that's all.

We just have O'brien fans signed up. I'm sure if there were hundreds voting he wouldn't win. I voted for O'brien. I'm not a fan of Kirk. To me, Scotty and Spock were the entertaining ones on TOS. Though, I haven't watched it much.

And all this time, I thought "J-boy" was a reference to James Kirk!

For me this is a bit of a no brainer, Data wins hands down. The first time they have a obvious Englishman in Star Trek, and as our American cousins might say, he was a total weener. Messed up on occasions, a loner, Member of Section 31. Is this how Englishman are viewed through the world. Why they never had Picard as an Englishman and not French is beyond me. He acted and spoke as one of us, and as recent events to Sir Patrick, he was acknowledged

Most of the comments we've had about Reed have been positive. Nobody seems to give a lot of thought to his entanglement with Section 31. And any thoughts I had that he was a "weener" were put to rest when he fought that MAC officer to a standstill.

Yes, but consider how attractive Section 31 would look to a young military man. It seems to operate under a similar premise as Torchwood in Doctor Who actually - "seperate from the government, outside the police and beyond the United Nations".

And all this time, I thought "J-boy" was a reference to James Kirk! Funny. My first name is Joshua. But hey, you were right about it being a first initial. At least we can close this poll now. Good job Data.
