I've been noticing lately that Kirk isn't getting the respect he deserves. He was a great captain, a prototype. He never claimed to be perfect, but he realized that he had to project confidence for the benefit of the crew.
What do we know about him?
In "The Deadly Years", he said he was 34 years old. Thirty-four and already Captain! From "Court Martial", we know that he served as Ensign on the USS Republic, along with Ben Finney. But from "Obsession", we know that he was Lieutenant of the USS Faragut, under Captain Garrovick, and he said that Garrovick was his captain from the time he left the Academy. I'm guessing that he was an Honor Student, probably already an Ensign while he was student, and his time on the Republic represents his Cadet Cruise.
From "Where No Man Has Gone Before", we know that he spent at least two years as an instructor at the Academy.

Nice Biography of Kirk Atoz! I agree that these things about James T Kirk need to be pointed out. Dr McCoy often told him he would make a fair psychologist and Kirk would respond with "Fair?!?"

No doubt KIrk was the Main Man of the original series.
He had a brother named George Samuel Kirk who had three sons. He died at Deneva killed by those parasite creatures along with his wife and one son. Question: what happened to the other two sons?

I don't ever recall reading or hearing anything about them. Was Peter the name of the nephew of Captain Kirk that was in sickbay?

Yes, that was Peter. Incidentally, it's mentioned that the other two sons - never named - died before the neural parasites. A deleted scene indicated that he returned to Deneva to stay with his father's partner and his wife.

I got it off Memory Alpha. Again. XD
It makes sense though - there's only a handful of options for Peter. He either goes to Earth with his grandparents (presuming they are still alive) or he stays on Deneva - which is safe once they've got rid of the parasites - with close friends who would presumably know well.

In Operation Annihilate, McCoy said that Peter was the last survivor of his family, but i took that to mean the last of his family on that planet. If the other two boys were away at bording school on someother planet that wouldn't count.

I noticed that, too, Luke. It's also possible that McCoy just didn't know about the other two boys. He only seemed to vaguely remember that Kirk's brother was even on that planet.

Palm Leaf of Axanar Peace Mission I know what you mean. I would be curious to know more about the Axanar Peace Mission, since Garth of Izar seemed to not approve of it. If I remember correctly, the Axanar turned up in ENT. Didn't that mysterious ship that attacked the Enterprise for no reason turn out to be from Axanar?

No, they were the ones who were mutilated and hung upside down when Enterprise found them.
