Is TNG the only Trek show that you watch? In the Federation of Planets there are 150 planets. Maybe we can say with 151 counting Bajor. Since you ask, yes, TOS and TNG are about the only ones I watch. I've seen a few episodes of VOY and DS9, but the characters and the stories didn't really appeal to me. The point I was making, though, was that I don't think I've ever heard someone literally say, "There are X planets in the Federation." It's just hte impression I had that it was bigger than that. This is interesting. I've seen the Enterprise D go as fast as warp 9.5. How much faster is Voyager?

I realize this isnt "official" but the guys I used to role play with had a book that listed 600 planets in the federation. And this was back in the late 80s early 90s. Six hundred sounds about right. Maybe there are 150 Full status members, and the balance being Associate members, colonies or protectorates.

Voyager has been known to go as fast as 9.95 and had the ability for a short time to use trans-warp like the Borg do, but they were only able to travel for a good 1,000 light years before it was unusable
