In "The Next Phase", Geordi Laforge and Ro Laren were presumed killed after a transporter accident. We didn't get to see much of the memorial service which Data planned for them, but from what we did see, it looked a little unusual.
My question is What sort of burial rituals does your culture prescribe? Or... if you were planning your own memorial, what would it be like?

I would like to be cremated and my ashes launched into space.

I'm on the organ donor register so I'd want all my viable organs to be given over for transplant - my family knows this but otherwise I wouldn't mind either way as long as I was brought home. It's funny, I don't believe that my body is important after death - after all my soul has gone to the afterlife, heaven - but I still want that reassurance that I will be here, back home in England.
As for a funeral, well I'd want a celebration of my life. A wake!
