Did I miss one? "Birthright" is also a two parter, but the best I remember, it wasn't a cliffhanger.

This was a close call, but I chose "Time's Arrow" Because it dealt with Picard, Guinan and Mr Data. I like the time travel and the Enterprises crew stopping the aliens who were feeding off of Humans in 1893!
I also like The 2 part cliff hanger "Unification" when Spock comes back. Picard and Data go looking for him on Romulus.

as much as I loved best of both worlds, i simply loved Unification. Being a huge Spock fan myself, I loved it from the start. Anything that gives Spock another chance to show his face in the Star Trek saga i must give props ;D

I think I'd vote for Times Arrow too. Its the first one that really sticks out in my memory. Best of Both Worlds would be number two, if we had a second vote.

I went with "Best of Both Worlds", even though I don't like the Borg very much. It was just and edge of the seat kind of story from start to finish.
I didn't really get the point of "Unification", I'm afraid.

basically the idea around it was for the longest time Spock believed there was a possibility for the Vulcans and the Romulans could overcome their differences and unite as a whole. Seeing as how they share a common ancestry, joining together as friends can have many advantages, plus with Vulcans wisdom they could possibly end the fighting between the romulans and the klingons/federation.

I agree, Admiral. There were so many stories about Klingons. I wished they had told us more about Romulans. We didnt see much of them except as generic enemies.

I would have liked to have known more about the Romulans to! The Romulan war of the 22nd century, their breaking away from the Vulcans, and what they did during the long period they had no contact with the Federation in the 24th century before the Enterprise D encountered them in "The Neutral Zone" and the Romulan off-shoot race called the DeBrune that is only mentioned once while Picard was on board the mercenary ship looking for relics and artifacts!
My third favorite 2 parter is "Best of Both Worlds" !

Put that way, I see what you mean. I guess I usually don't think of Romulans as anything but an occasional annoyance. If there were a sixth Star Trek series, hopefully it would follow up on this theme of unification.

that would be quite a theme for a new series. Mainly based on the Romulans, i would love to see more about their lifestyle and what they did in seclusion for so long.

"Chain of Command" was also a pretty good cliffhanger. I'm surprised no one has voted for it.

He was so busy acting like a hardnose, he didn't really get to know any of the crew. He didn't even try until he needed Riker. But at the time I amused myself wondering what Star Trek would have been like if they had left Jellico permanently in command of the Enterprise!
