he wore it because it was uncomfortable, the starfleet uniform is meant for comfort, so he wore it to be constantly on edge and vigilant That makes as much sense as anything else. And oddly enough, it sounds like something Worf would do.

It sounds like something a Stoic would do, and Worf is a perfect example of one.

As a character I couln't help but find significant fasination with Worf. He was so often in awkward situations where his culture and duty to Starfleet where to clash. He as a character is one I belive was showed to develop as a person through out the series(s) along with obviously Data more than most of the other characters.

Worf was one of my favorite characters on both STNG and DS9. His life spent with humans was a good influence on him, but he still maintained his Klingon identity to a highly Honorable standard. At the end Of DS9, his federation ambassadorship to the Klingon empire was the perfect position for him! I also think he would have made a good Klingon Chancellor, but General Martok was also a good choice

Worf would be a good character to have on a new trek series if it dealt with the Federation and the Klingons.

I'm not a fan of opera, but Worf and the doc from Voyager would make a good opera duet. I remember a number of times Worf enjoyed the Klingon operas.
