A general thread about WORF!
Did anyone think that Worf (and the rest of the crew) looked silly compared to how they looked at the end other than I?
Also, I have seen a video titled 'The Worf Song' somewhere, when I find the link I'll post.
Until Then lets talk about Worf (and his son)!

Come on! When you're about forty years old, go hunt up your high school photographs and tell me if you think you looked silly or not.

Data's appearance changed a little bit, too. In the beginning, his skin was just a very, very pale yellow, but as time went on, it got more of a golden yellow.

One thing I never liked about Worf's character, his son. I mean come on, that kid was butt ugly. Not to mention a bad actor.

That's true. But it opened up some pretty good storylines, such as "Cost of Living" where Lwaxanna comes on board and has to talk some sense into the little worm because he doesn't want to do what his father tells him. On the other hand, Alexander also has to take the blame for "A Fistful of Datas", which has to be one of the utter low points of the series.

While it had potential, it didn't quite cut it. As for that episode, the only funny part was Data's accent

Well, back to Worf -- In many ways, Worf isn't your typical Klingon. We often see Klingons laughing and carousing, but Worf doesn't do that, even when he's among other Klingons. Do you suppose being raised with humans made him more introverted (I hardly like to use the word "shy") than most Klingons are?

Actually I think it is because he was raised by humans, and he probably sensed that as a species, they were physically weaker and i am sure he missed his own kind, so, he probably delved deeply into klingon culture, hoping to soak it up through knowledge if not experience with his own kind. As a result, like Martok said in ds9, worf wound up extremely disciplined, too much so, because he is too worried about not being a REAL klingon. Think of the hang ups you would have if you were him, an orphan from a proud culture. Living with people you love, yet understand on a primal level, that they are weaker than your kind and your kind would look down on that fact. Perhaps his sub conscious picked up on that?

Not just sub-consciously, either. I can't remember what episode I learned this, but when Worf was little, he accidentally killed another little boy playing soccer, when they butted heads. So you have a very good point.
