Seven was my favourite! She was great, she always told you when you were wrong and never gave a second thought to her actions because most of time she got them right lol

That doesn't sound like the sort of person I would approve of. I like people who are self-disciplined, myself. That is what I like about Tuvok. But I can't remember if I voted in this poll or not.

I would have to vote for Janeway. She is a cunning character, and when not being brainwashed or controled by an alien species she is very intent on getting the crew home to the Alpha Quadrant... but never once has she taken a shortcut by hurting someone else or going against her morals (although she does break the Prime Directive a few times.
I would have to say that a lot of people only like Seven of Nine because of her attractivness. Because I am a female I like her for other qualities, such as her ability to learn to adapt as an individual even though she has been on the Borg Collective for so long. However, everytime I watch Voyager with my boyfriend he clutches his chest to imply that she has ginormous boobs. Some people say she is only there to look good and boost show ratings but... whether she is or not they put a good story into her.
I can't deny that Tuvoc wasn't a bad character either. His ability to think logically with everything and not realize that sometimes logic isn't the answer makes him a person who can create all the answers, yet not always know what to do because sometimes the logical answer isn't always the right one.
Out of the characters that joined up, I would vote Neelix. He became someone so versatile among the crew that everyone had a little something to do with him and when he left to be with the Talaxians on the asteroid, every person lined up in that hallway showed a great deal of respect in their eyes for him. I loved Tuvoc's dance. It was a perfect ending to the episode, and it all made me cry.

I agree with everything you said about Janeway. As for Seven of Nine, I don't think she really added anything to the crew. As for the "sex appeal" factor, I could live with the makeup and the skin-tight outfit, but the high heels were a little too much.

One of my friends used to say she was an example of role reversal. Aside from Picard, Data was easily the most popular character on Next Gen. Voyager's ratings were falling, so they created a female version of Data, hoping to get people interested.

That makes a certain amount of sense. The ship's doctor on Enterprise was a woman, but the doctor on Voyager is a man. The ship's counsellor on Enterprise was a woman, but the equivalent on Voyager is Neelix...

When you think about it, almost everytime there was a problem, it was solved by Data, Geordi, or Dr. Crusher. And of course Picard provided the leadership that was required. And those four characters are gender reversed on Voyager! The others were just equivalents. Chakotay was another Riker, Tuvok was another Worf, and so on. The only characters who didn't have Next Gen equivalents were Tom Paris and Harry Kim. Who were they? O'Brien and Bashir, from Deep Space Nine!

Weird in a good way. I liked the way he spoke, he had an odd voice, he seemed to me to be rather impatient at times, and he was a hologram, which was interesting. Overall, he personality was great.

I liked him at the beginning of the series, the way he would say, "Everybody who's not sick, get out of my Sickbay!", and Capt. Janeway would impatiently turn him off. But he seemed to mellow out too much later on.
