There's one thing about the universal translater I just don't understand. How can Klingons say something in Klingon? Why is it not translated? Sure most of the words are insults but sometimes that's not the case. Of course, it's not important but sometimes it makes me wonder

Weyoun. I think they do this for effect in the scenes in question. ....to enhance the drama and excitment of the situation in other words!

Or it may be that, since the Klingon/Federation alliance occured some time ago, certain words and phrases of Klingon have been accepted into the general vernacular. If you said, "Hasta la vista, baby," would the computer automatically translate it? What does "Q'pla" mean, anyway? Does anyone know? They say it all the time!

Atoz...I think Q'pla means something like good bye, but I think there is more to it.

It is spelled Qapla' and means Success.
Don't you have a Klingon Dictionary?
Without it I wouldn't be able to score.
But I believe that the translators have personal settings, and for pure censorship that certain words are not translated, mostly klingon, because it is a very colorful language.

It is spelled Qapla' and means Success. From the context, I had guessed it meant something like that. They usually use it (like "goodbye") when they separate for any reason. Oh, and good luck scoring with those Klingon babes...
