I have seen only a few episodes of Stargate Atlantis, but have enjoyed it. I have seen a lot more of SG1.

My neighbour lent me all five seasons. It's pretty good but mostly orientated round Sheppard and McKay, it may has well been called the Sheppard and McKay show.
McKay is my fave

You cant really ask if a show is any good. Thats personal preference. I didn't particularly like it but it ran for five seasons so somebody must have!

Can someone plz tell me if StarGate Atlantis is any good because i haven't seen any of the episodes yet. It's not TERRIBLE but SG1 is waaaay better. For one thing the acting is terrible in SGA. That Rainbow guy is just painful and the lead guy is nowhere near as fun as MacGyver guy. IMHO.

Well Lieutenant Ford was written out pretty early if I remember correctly. He was infected with some kind of bug. What did you think of Ronon?

Yes. I didn't like him at first because he reminded me of a person in real life that I don't get along with, but I eventually came to appreciate him.

What bothered me was they kept writing out some of their main characters. I guess the actors quit or something. First Ford, then Beckett, then Weir.

I have to confess that the main reason I watched it from the start was Tori Higgenson as Elizabeth Weir. And they always underutilized her. She was supposed to be in command, but Sheppard was always ignoring her orders. Nobody respected her. And then when the wrote her off the show I simply stopped watching. Ah well. One of the joys of being a writer yourself is that you don't have to take this. In my Starship Odysseus fan fiction stories you'll find Science Officer DIANE Weir, who oddly enough bears a striking resemblance to Tori Higgenson.
