I'm watching "Melora," which is season 2 episode 6. When Melora and Dax are on the runabout together, they're listening to some music. The name Melora gave escapes me at the moment, but Dax mentioned that the composer was Vulcan. It sounded like harp music.
Does anybody know what this music is? Was it something created for the show, or was it something that they used that might be well-known?

I wish I could help, but I don't even watch Deep Space Nine, so I don't know.

it was composed by dennis mccarthy. He has composed a majority of the music of star trek.
the quote i got was
"The score for this episode is one of composer Dennis McCarthy's favorites; ""Melora" was one of the most romantic scores that I've had the chance to write and I really enjoyed it. I made it more ethereal than usual, with less horns, letting the woodwinds play in the lighter areas." (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion) "
the composer in the show was a vulcan called 'Delvok'

I never would have come close to coming up with the answer on this one! I do know a lot about other types of music though!

Thank you so much for the info! Maybe I can find a full recording of the song somewhere...
