The feature film came first, in 1978 or 79 as near as I remember. TNG didn't come along until 1986.

It was originally the main theme of the first Star Trek film. I wonder why they chose to use that instead of composing a new theme for TNG alone?

It's a nice catchy tune. I liked it!
And I misspoke earlier. The feature film came out in 1980.

I got you beat - I've only seen the new one! I've only seen Generations so far. LOL. I plan on seeing the other movies soon though hopefully, especially the new one. =) I'm really looking forward to seeing that one.

When you get around to "Nemesis", make sure you have a box of hankies nearby. I won't say more. In fact, maybe you should save it until you've seen the entire TNG series. I don't want to spoil the surprise.

I don't want to spoil the surprise. I THINK I might know what you are referring too. LOL. I can't resist posting on forums, even when I haven't fully finished a show (although I try to hold it off as long as possible) and it was actually the title of one of the threads on this page that ruined something for me in Nemesis that I now know happens and I know I'm going to cry during it. Luckily, I don't know how it is going to happen yet because I didn't actually read the thread.

I'm very sorry. We try not to spoil things like that, but it's hard to talk about certain topics without doing so.

The TNG Theme Tune is awesome and catchy. I would listen to it over, over, over, over and over and over again.

If you're new to the movies, know that you can skip TMP (1), and TFF (5), because TMP is very long and boring and could turn you off from Trek movies, and TFF makes no sense. Also, watch them in order.
