Such a little thing but it got me wondering when I first heard: What's an Eagle Scout?
As far as I can tell it's an American thing to do with earning lots of badges or something?
Of course, it must mean it went global at some point because otherwise how would Reed be one?

I thought it was just a rank within the Boy Scouts. And the Boy Scouts originated in Britain, didn't they? Sounds like its time to Google.

From what I can see, not in the UK. I wonder what else would become worldwide? Would a version of Scouts spread to alien worlds? Probably not but perhaps there would be some sort of Federation Scouts?

The Scouting movement did actualy originate in Britain, then moved to Canada. Then when the Americans took over, it seems the other countries lost interest. It's now the Boy Scouts of America.
Federation Scouts. That sounds like an interesting idea.

What do you think they'd do?
My nephew's in the Scouts (officially The Scout Association in the UK) and he's going camping soon, they built and raced a go-kart last week, they're planning a stall on New Zealand for a St George's Day fete...I remember doing concerts and wide games when I was a Brownie and Guide and my niece does the same in Rainbows.
Do you reckon they'd have a Denobulan theme meeting on Thinking Day (22nd February) much like Guide (Girl Scouts in USA, I believe) and Scout units have ones on other countries now? That'd be fun. XD
