Could there ever be a reboot of the TNG series? The movie couldn't possibly be any worse than the movies.

Well, considering that you still haven't told us why you think the movies are so bad, I don't know how to answer that one. I don't approve of "reboots" in general because I don't like the idea of new actors trying to portray the original characters. If they want to revive Star Trek, they should create an entirely new crew, in my arrogant opinion.

I'll still reserve judgement till I've seen them!
Can you imagine them trying to reboot Picard though considering today's Hollywood? Sexy, young Captain Kirk - yes. Middle-aged, pseudoFrench Englishman with no hair? Hmmm...

Since I am a die hard TNG fan, there is no question that they are fantastic in my mind. Questionable of Star Trek: Nemesis I was heart broken when they killed "spoiler" off. It ruined everything, but we have lots to go back on.
Seeing them at a younger age like they did with Star Trek XI would be hilarious, though I don't think there was enough information about their childhoods let alone their academy days to put something like that together, though stranger things have happened.

If they want to revive Star Trek, they should create an entirely new crew, in my arrogant opinion. I agree with this statement. Generally "reboots" have continuity errors and other problems, such as the cast themselves not being like the original cast.
Also reboots tend to trivialise the events that took place in the original version of the series.H+

Well, if in 10 years they want to end the current line of movies, they can move to TNG as it would be in the new timeline. I liked the new movie for what it was and I think that I'd like a new TNG line.

Well, in the same "timeline", sure (I don't want to get into another argument about what time travel does to timelines). But the idea of rebooting the series with different actors portraying the original characters is repulsive to me, after watching the NuTrek movie.
