in the first series episode 6 the enterprise goes past warp 10 and travels over 200million lightyears through 3 galaxies but thats impossible seeing as in voyager tom parris breaks the warp barrier once and ends up a lizard so how can they do in it tng without destroying the enterprise =/ maybe im over analyzing it

If I remember that Starfleet engineer (Koscinski?) and that funky guy from Tau Ceti was controlling the engines at that time. He supposedly had some kind of time/space pwoers nobody understood.

I don't think so. In TOS (the Original Series), the Enterprise exceeded Warp 10 on at least three occasions I can think of. I think Memory Alpha explains this by saying that the warp scale was recalculated sometime between TOS and TNG. But that one episode you're talking about, from VOY, is the only one I know of where Warp 10 is anything special.
We have a topic somewhere here about Warp Speeds, probably in Mess Hall or Ten Forward.

Hey we've got some good Joke threads. And the admiral is too modest to mention it, but we got some prety good stories in the Fan Fiction section.
