We have this new shiny board and It hasn't even been used yet?
Anyway, I will be watching TAS as I have never actually seen it. But we can have general discussions here.

I persoanly don't see the attraction? How can one animate something like Star Trek? It's almost blasphemous.

It was back in the 70s, dude. Animation was cheaper. And they were able to do neat stuff like have a helmsman who had three legs and three arms, a communications officer who was a felinoid, and so on. Saved a lot of money on special effects. The only drawback is that the stories went right over the heads of the kids on Saturday mornings.

It's star trek, it's worth at least giving it a shot.

I suppose technically it should be lumped in with the Original Series, since it used the same characters. Except for M'ress and Arix, that is.

I remember the animated series. I used to watch it when I was in grade school. I haven't seen it for a long time. I don't know if its being shown or has been shown by any network for a long time. Does anyone know if its being re-ran anywhere. I'm no longer a big fan of animation, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

The animated series was awesome. I got them on dvd about 6 months ago. I liked how they added a holodeck to the enterprise, which was completely inconsistent with the original series.
And andrewlee, TAS isn't on tv anywhere as far as I know. However, the dvds are relatively cheap.

Mr Data...Where would I find them....online somewhere? I've never seen them in any stores I've been in.

I found it at a circuit city but I've seen them all the time in best buy, fry's and a few other places. If you know of a store that sells just dvd's, they'd probably have it as well. You will probably have the best luck at best buy, though. And of course, the internet is always an option.

ummm no. I'm from SoCal, and there are a lot of 'em here. I've been to probably five of them, they are huge electronic stores like Best Buy, only a lot bigger and more stuff.

Never seen one in my life. I'm from the states too. I've only seen Circuit City and Best Buy's for large electronic stores. They must be California based.

I guess I'd call it California based because half (yes, exactly 50%) of the stores are located in California. Funny I heard it mentioned alot, but only 34 of these stores exist. I'd expect them to be more under the radar, especially for me.
Now I'm curious if you've heard of some popular stores where I live. Have you ever heard of the fast food chain, Culvers?
