okay, so i'm at my schools computer lab, and i'm working with a bunch of adobe programs (photoshop, illustrator), and i just can't seem to find my groove with these macs. i don't want to dislike them, but i have such a hard time working them. i don't know if it's the mouse, the OS itself, or what, but i don't know, something just bothers me about them. i'd like to appreciate them, but i just can't seem to...who know's maybe i just need to get used to it, or maybe i won't.
so anyway, i decided to make a poll...to see what everyone else thought. This isn't a "are macs better than windows" poll...it's just this: "Do you like macs?" even if you like windows better, it doesn't mean you necessarily will say no to this question, and vice-versa. Just wanted to be clear on that.
Poll away!
...oh, and by the way, i'm using a mac osx i believe...that's as far as i know.

Jack Thomson, Steve Jobs, and George Bush. They're all the same to me.
I say "Nay!" firstly because I just like the sound of it, and secondly because the Mac OS is just dumb. Interrupt keys, the annoying bouncing icons, the lack of a safe mode, and NO WAY to recover corrupted or deleted files, all signs of a deluded mind. The keyboard is too soft, the mouse has ONE button, and the CRASHING! Oh god! The CRASHING! Every time!
I for one believe that Macs are boat-anchors. Yes, that is an actual term for a CRAPPY COMPUTER. Norton? MS Office? A simple "Paint" program? Either non-existent, or akin to the OS. There are two reasons why Macs are assumed to be virus and spyware safe: -1.) The crashing, slowness, and loss of files and data at the hands of these.....it would just be redundant! -2.) No one who has anything important to do on a Mac (besides edit, create graphics, and set up wireless networks), OWNS A MAC! If the virus-programmers don't have a real target, there's no point in programming the stupid thing!

thank you for your time, lol. really though, that's more than i was expecting from my question...looks likes someone dislikes macs more than me i, on the other hand, don't have a problem with george bush, he's makes me laugh (in a good way).

Macs may not be great for a whole lot but there is one thing they are great for. They make great servers. A friend and I got a mac server one time and decided to test its mettle. We tried exposing it to every site and program we knew contained viruses and it didn't phase the mac at all. When we went to the same sites with a PC the Anti virus lit up like a freaking x-mas tree. If you ever plan on having a large network, run it through a mac server. Significantly reduces the chance of getting viruses on your PC.

I never saw a mac up close, so I don't have an opinion. I've heard some good things, and some bad things about them.

I'm not much of a fan of Macs. Although I will say I believe they've gotten to be a lot better than they used to be. I've used some older Macs before...those things are brutal. Newer machines with OS X are more tolerable, but I still prefer a PC.

well i like macs. i like them A LOT. i had an iMac for a while and it was a wonderful relationship, i'm not kidding you. the only time this baby ever crashed was the one time i put some bad software in its rom-drive... lol...
in my experience, macs are hardier and more reliable than PCs. macs are for people who want to do design stuff and other serious work, while most pcs on the market are only good for games and basic internet browsing.
finally, there is the aesthetic aspect. face it. MAC IS BEAUTIFUL in all of its incarnations. some of their designs are so beautiful they make my heart ache i want one so much... and here's the downside of macs - they aren't cheap. but tell you what, once i can afford it, i'm back to mac.

The Mac: plug it in, and it works. No space for other plug-ins...no...you want to mod or upgrade your Mac? You have to do either something like: this, Or something like this.
