There was a brief article about Brent Spiner appearing next year in a parody movie about superheroes, which prompts this question: Who is your favorite comic book superhero? I was going to make this a poll, but the list kept getting longer and longer. So I'll make it a "write-in" vote instead.
I like Batman, Spiderman and some of the others, but my all time favorite is Captain America! It was amazing how far one man could get armed with nothing but sheer determination and a battered old indestructible shield!

That's awesome, Brent Spiner in a superhero movie? Just sounds cool.
Anyway, for your question...I really have no clue what to say for my favorite superhero. I mostly watched animes. I don't know if you consider anime characters to be superheroes or not.
If you just mean cartoons, comics, and English films, then prolly Cyclops from X-Men, and Iceman. I like Ironman and Venom too.
If you can include anime, manga, and Japanese films, hmm...Krillin from Dragonball Z (as well as others, Tien, Vegeta, Yamcha, Trunks). Yes, it looks like i like Dragonball Z, although I haven't watched any anime in a few good years. The Big O is cool, although i'm sure no one has heard of it on here. It was on Adult Swim on cartoon network if anyone even knows what that is.
What about video games? do they count? The Mario Brothers are quite cool. Especially Luigi.
There are just so many categories to list, and so many characters in those categories. It's pretty hard to decide. The earliest Superhero i can remember liking is Luigi. Hey, he's SUPER and a HERO. So i would classify him as one, but some wouldn't.

I'm a huge 'Judge Dredd' fan, I also like 'Slaine'( the warrior) Strontium dog Johnny Alpha.

I was thinking in terms of comic book superheroes, not game characters.
Did you see that series on the Sci-fi channel -- "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" At first, I thought it was the silliest excuse for a reality show I'd ever seen, but after I'd watched it a few times, I was oddly hooked.

I like the flash, not only is he fast, but he is slick with the ladies, but seriously I think flash is awsome.

...Cyclops from X-Men, and Iceman. Cyclops was one of my favorite X-men, too. He was the leader of the group for goodness sakes, but the stupid movies made him out to be some kind of useless dweeb, and gave more attention to Wolverine! I was also disappointed that Colossus was reduced to just a brief walk-on appearance, and Nightcrawler's character (personality-wise) was completely changed!

I'm a huge 'Judge Dredd' fan. I haven't ever read the Judge Dredd comic books, but I saw the movie with Sylvester Stallone. Was that a pretty good approximation? I'd have to say that most of the time, the movies don't manage to do justice to comic book superheroes. The first Batman movie (with Michael Keaton) was good, because they took him seriously (and if any superhero needs to be taken seriously, it's Batman). Sometimes the movie is actually better than the comic, like "Blade" and "The Phantom". But most of the time, they don't hold up too well, at least in my opinion.

Then there's the superhero comedies. I thought "The Incredibles" was altogether stupid. "Mystery Men" wasn't bad once Greg Kinnear was out of the way. "Sky High" was a complete waste of time, but "Zoom" (with Tim Allen) was pretty good.

I've never heard of Zoom. I'm surprised because Tim Allen was in it. I think i should've at least heard about it.

I saw it recently on the Starz channel. I suppose it was released during that glut of superhero comedies that recently came out, and sort of slipped under the radar or something.

I've been seeing hype articles and commercials for "The Superhero Movie", which I'm guessing is the movie they were talking about (see above). I have to say I'm a little disappointed to see that Leslie Nielson is going to be in it.

He was great in "Airplane", and the "Naked Gun" series of movies, but some of the movies he's been in lately, he's just played a brainless goof-ball. "Scary Movie 3" and "Scary Movie 4", for example, in which he played the President of the United States -- the movies themselves were not bad, but the scenes he was in were just embarrassing.
But getting back to the topic, it looks like we have:
Captain America -- 1 vote Judge Dredd -- 1 vote Cyclops -- 1 vote the Flash -- 1 vote Batman -- 1 vote
I know I should have made this a poll, but as I said there are just too many superheroes (I never would have even thought of Judge Dredd, for example).

Ok. I'd have to go with Spiderman. Although the moves were disappointing, partly because they cut out the wise-cracks that I associate with Spidey.
