Here's a new picture I just did, of an Excelsior class starship, as yet unnamed...

I wish I could afford one. My clunky old computer probably wouldn't have the capacity for it, anyway.

Nice job on the ship Atoz! I remember you mentioned you drew your art on paint program. I am good at drawing a lot of things on paint, but could you give me some tips on how to draw ships on paint. I would greatly appreciate this! I tried to draw ships on paint, but they didn't come out very well. Thanks for posting your feline avatar!!!!

All I can say is don't worry too much if you can't get the shape to look right the first time. Save it, put it aside, then come back and try again later. That's what I had to do. Many times you have to draw guide lines (I use gray), for example so that the nacelles line up, then go back and erase them later. Usually for the nacelles I would sketch in a long, boxy rectangle, then gradually round them off.
But for your ship, first you're going to have to draw it on paper, to get the look right. I have to confess, I don't know how you're going to manage four nacelles. I tried drawing a three-nacelle ship once, but no matter how I arranged it, one or the other was always blocked from view.

Thanks for the advice about drawing ships on paint. When I draw my geometric art, I need to erase lines as well in the process. I'm going to draw the ship and its related classes on paper and make them out of modeling clay to help me when I draw them on paint. A good Friend of mine says " Great minds think alike" When I was a Kid my cousins and I would build ships out of Lego's.

Here are two versions of the banner I designed for the USS Paladin. No word yet on when the transfer will take place (if ever).

Since I've finally got Flag rank, I guess it's time to retire my ship banner. It goes here, so that everyone can still gasp in awe at it's beauty....
