I really hope this isn't true!!!
Rumors are that JJ Abrams could remake Wrath of Khan!!!
(NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!)
What gives him the right to.... destroy an excellent film!!! There will never be a better Khan... in fact it is desicrating the memory of Ricardo Montalban's Khan if he does it!
SAY IT ISN'T SO!!!

I like the original just fine and don't like the idea of a remake with no concept of continuity!!

It's as I said before. All Paramount cares about is raking in money.

If anything, it would be a remake of "Space Seed" (because at this time, the Enterprise hadn't discovered the Botany Bay or Khan). I don't understand why people keep hating on J.J. Abrams or the writers. The new Star Trek film was respectful of Star Trek canon (even though they left out some minor details and changed a few major ones -- which you would expect from Nero coming back to try and kill Spock and destroy Vulcan). Khan is just one of the characters being considered for the next film; I've even heard a rumor they were considering casting Jack Black as Harry Mudd (which has been debunked as untrue). Basically, don't believe everything you read or hear. If it's not from an official source, it isn't true.

Number one: dont believe any thing u read on the internet unless its from paramount or on startrek.com. and number two: Never believe anything u read on the internet full stop until you see it in the cinema! I have to say tho, according to chris pine (new kirk) the new movies will be at least a trilogy providing the 2nd one is a sucsess so it looks like were stuck in the past for a few more years (well the 23rd century). But im telling you, if they wanna keep us all intrested in sticking with this trilogy, then they will have to pop a modern trek character in there from time to time. Not everyone is a fan of TOS!

I've never even seen TOS. It's just not repeated on British TV anymore.

really? a remake...that's just not right. I was pretty skeptical about this new star trek film, it blew me away, it didn't really do anything to take over 'The Motion Picture' so it was fine with me, but no remaking Khan is a bad idea! It will ruin Star Trek history forever

If they are going to make sequels to the last movie, they should not remake a TOS episode, but make a new one up since it is in an alternate time line.

I mean, theoretically, if they remade WOK, wouldn't they have to use older actors that Chris Pine ETC?

Do the other movies still go with the parallel universe they left off with last movie? I have seen almost all the original series as my family is a big TOS fan. I tend too like Voyager better. Wrath Of Khan I haven't seen fully so I can't say if a remake would be good or not. I doubt they would remake any of the old films really.

Wrath Of Khan I haven't seen fully so I can't say if a remake would be good or not. I doubt they would remake any of the old films really. Technically, the movies prior to the new one happened in the prime timeline, but there's no reason why we couldn't expect most of them to play out as they would have had Nero not returned to the past. An obvious exception would be the events after The Wrath of Khan. After Spock died, he and McCoy (who had Spock's katra, were returned to Vulcan for the ritual to return Spock's soul back to his own body. Also, they won't remake The Wrath of Khan. They'd have to remake "Space Seed", first. But it could still happen, because in the Star Trek universe, the Eugenics Wars occurred in the 1990's so Khan and his group are still adrift somewhere in the Botany Bay.
