The Church of England has made many concessions. They passed a statement saying that it wasn't a sin, but "fell short of ideal conduct." This was because at the time it was estimated that a third of their clergy was gay. It is rather funny, to me anyway

Looks like Maine has repealed its gay marriage law. States that still allow it are Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massechusetts and Connecticut.

According to the church, we are all "sinners", so I wonder why it should matter? True, I have always wondered why people would practise a religion that practically has a ban on joy, freedom, and happiness. So Takei is Gay. The Actress that played Bu'Kah is Lesbian. It really doesn't stop them from being Hot. And why people want approval of a religion that doesn't even like them? I can understand why they want to marry for legal purposes, it is only logical you want to make sure your loved ones are taken good care off. I regards to people venting their intolerance, it is NOT okay, neither is my own venting of intolerance towards of middle eastern faiths (Judaism, Islam, Christianity), but it is people's feelings, and you are allowed to have them.

A couple of weeks ago, George and his partner were on a celebrity edition of "The Newlywed Game". In a way, it was a little unfair on the other couples. They had been together for 20 years, they just had gotten married until a few months ago. They won the game, actually, but not by too much. So anyway, another celebrity in the game was the actor who played Peter Brady on "The Brady Bunch". The third couple (sitting in the center incidentally) were much younger, both from some reality show I had never heard of. One question came up, something like, "While watching television, my wife hates to be interrupted when BLANK is on." The guy was thinking out loud, saying, "Let me see... she likes those cheesy old TV shows from the 70s..." Mr. Sulu and Peter Brady both turn on him -- "HEY!"

Not long ago I saw a John Wayne movie The Green Berets and good old George was in it. He played a South Vietnamese captain named Nim or something.

I've heard that he was in that movie, but never actually seen it. From what I've heard, he went off to film the movie during the second season, which also coincided with Chekov's arrival. There were a couple of episodes that Sulu was supposed to be in ("The Trouble With Tribbles" for example), and Chekov took those scenes instead. Supposedly George resented Walter for a long time because of that, but it was just bad timing.
