I'm jealous MrData. I've only seen it twice, lol. So much stuff you mentioned that I missed too. I'm sure I'll see it in the theater at least one more time. I'll have to watch for all of that.

I saw it once on Friday with my wife, and once on Monday with my brother, dad and wife's young cousins.

umm Speedcubing is solving Rubik's cubes and other twisty puzzles as fast as possible. I went to a competition today. My fastest time was 14.19 seconds and my fastest average of 5 solves was 19.51. ummmmmmmm Here's a link. worldcubeassociation.org/BTW, I went to IMAX again today. Trying to locate R2-D2 in the movie now.

You need to speedcube dressed and made-up as Data.

ROFL! That would be hilarious. Unfortunately, I doubt I would look anything like Data with all of that. I've considered going to competition in uniform though. I didn't do it because I was afraid I'd get DQ'd for not following dress code. I'm certain that wouldn't happen though.

Mr Data Keep me posted on this one! I'm wondering what sort of dress code they would have at a Rubik's speed-cubing competition? How would your uniform violate it? Just curious!

I don't think it would violate it. I'll check the wca regulations in a second. EDIT: ok this is how it may violate it.
"2h) Competitors must be fully dressed. Competitors may dress in jeans, pants, shorts, slacks, skirts, foot-wear, T-shirts or dress shirts. Hats may be worn. Clothes must not display vulgar language or have inappropriate pictures."
It never says you may dress in a Starfleet Uniform.

Mr Data Tell me more about this Rubik's speedcube. Is it the old Rubik's cube or something new based on it?

Well, the cubes themselves are whatever the competitors bring. I used a Type A Third Model from www.cube4you.comAnyone fast isn't gonna use an actual Rubik's brand cube, those suck and are way too hard to turn. Competition puzzles are 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, magic, master magic, square-1, pyraminx, and megaminx. The 3x3 is what is most famous, as it is the original "Rubik's Cube." There are One Handed and Blindfold events, as well as Fewest Moves, Multi-Blindfold, and Feet. So far, I've only competed in 3x3, 2x2, and Magic.

You could also check out www.speedsolving.com as it has a wiki on all things speedcubing. By the way, congrats on Fleet Captain.
