I know what you mean about Tasha and especially Data!! I hate it when they kill off main or good characters!! I love it when the bad guy dies though!!

Morn never said much on camera, but I liked him. He was like Norm from cheers in a way.

yeah they made him sort of into a running gag through the show. he was friends and liked by everyone. he was always at the bar but i dont think he ever actually spoke a word. and they made the joke a few times with quark mentioning how morn never shut up and you could never get a word in edgewise what really got me was when the film came out they made ALOT of puiblicity about how a fan wrote it. which made it even harder for me to believe they killed data. a fan KILLED data. i know his memories were all transfered to b4 (was that his name?) and they looked the same. but he would still never be data. it sort of goes against everything we beleive in doesnt it? that theres more to a person than the shell or whatever. a clone is not the same.

I watched nemesis last night and cried myself to sleep. Poor Data. He is my favorite T.V character ever. I loved Generations, it was so funny. "Life forms, you tiny little life forms, you precious little life forms, where are you."

Yes, I can certainly sympathize with that. I'm usually not emotionally affected when a television character dies, but it was different with Data. He came to think of him as a real person.

yeah, he seemed real for me too. All the TNG characters feel like family to me.

i recently watched an interview of some of the tng cast members including Brent Spiner. One of the questions had to do with Data's death. He answered, " If there had been another movie, Data would have returned. Not B-4 but Data."

I just recently saw "Time's Arrow" again (season five). If you remember, that was the one where a seismology team had found Data's head in a cavern underneath San Francisco. Data was speculating about his death in that episode, and he concluded that it was somewhat conforting to know that he was mortal, and that he would eventually die, just like Humans do. Kind of ironic now, isn't it?

I also found it very emotional. It also stumped me very much that Data would die. But also you would definetly know that the series just ended if a main character dies like that. Chris Karak

Not necessarily. It would be sort of bitter to go on without Data, but life goes on. Sad but true. Remember in "The First Duty", when one of the cadets died in an accident, the admiral said that even when something like this happens, there are still duties to perform.

Good to know I'm not alone in this, I actually cried at that scene. I got a little teary when they deactivated B4 as well but Data is my favourite, I was really upset. They shouldn't have killed him off, but it did get quite the reaction, and it was for a good cause
