Yeah, what would you have been in the glorious 2270s? Exploring the galaxy with the likes of Captain Kirk and Spock. * White – command division * Orange – sciences division, scientific research and technical branches * Green – sciences division, medical branch * Red – operations division, engineering and maintenance branches * Gold – operations division (communications branch), command division (helm and navigation branches) * Grey – operations division, security and services branches

I would be a science officer(orange).

I would also be a science officer, but it would depend on my rank at the time. I could also be in the command division after being promoted from the lower officer ranks.

I am definitely Engineering.
I love nothing better than to fix things and make them work better, besides it is the most powerful job;
"No way, in Gre'thor can we do warp 8 now, with the engines busted up like this." "Hey, don't you use that tone with me, mister Captain" "You said what? You just lost warp-drive."

I think possibly sciences, medical branch though I'm not sure.
I'm not much of a leader at the moment though that could change with experience. I'm not particularly good with screwdrivers or anything like that - I get far too frustrated! Oh, and I'm a complete princess when it comes to oil and things on my hands. I'd make the least scary security officer ever - seriously, I'm not strong at all so I'd be useless hand-to-hand and I look it too.
BUT I'm good at understanding technical stuff - I passed an engineering course in Sea Cadets once only by the dint that I did a brilliant exam. Okay so I totally failed my A Level Sciences (Chemistry and Physics) but I did pass my GCSE with an A. Just about.
I'm also a member of St John (volunteer first aiders) and the practical, knowledge stuff comes easy. Trouble is I find it really difficult to talk to the patient without squeaking - which is odd because in "normal life" I talk like...well, Julian Bashir.

I would also make a good security officer and a fair engineer. As far as the medical division would be, I would be better at psychology than anything else. LOL Mac!

*hee hee* Yeah, you know me.
Well, Don't we all know first aid? It is essential in engineering, with control-panels and power conduits blowing up, almost every time we travel just a few light-years. (typical of those reckless captains always destroying my beautiful engine (the ********))
But I would be completely useless in science, either blowing up a few deck at a regular basis, or releasing strange viruses out into the ship. (But it would be fun)
And me in Command! nobody will follow a madman.
And communications! "Hey, If you don't speak klingon. sod off."
And Helm control! Can you say warp 5 and too much bloodwine.

Mac!!....I'm glad you know your limits Mac! You wouldn't want me as a low rank, I wouldn't always be very good at following orders I didn't agree with!!

I'd give you a funny look if I didn't agree with orders but...hey, I don't know everything right? I'm not the one in command. There's got to be a logical reason somewhere. I'd be right there searching for it trying to guess what we were up to but...

I would be searching for a logical reason as well!!
I never have been a good "Shut up and do what you are told" kind of guy! ....I'm not saying that I'm not loyal, but It has to be to some one who I respect! I do tend to question authority, but this doesn't make me a rebel !! Only a fool blindly follows!!!!

So what you are saying is that due to your tardiness in executing a given order my beautiful engines will blow up for the n'th time.
"Restart the warp engines.. Now." "Why?" ---- BOOOOOM ----

I'm a woman, I can search for a reason and execute the command because I can multitask.

Just as long as my beautiful engines are safe. There are enough dangers out there, which could easily hurt a little warp engine, and not all of them wear a starfleet uniform.

Talking about a Starfleet uniform would I have the wear those dinky skirts that show pretty much all your legs? Goodness knows, I bet they're a danger to your engines sometimes.

You have a point. Though I like those dinky skirts, they are to bloody dangerous in engineering.
Imagine all those embarrassing situations; dinky skirt bend over or getting out of a crawlspace under the wrong skirt -> one concussed crewman, as if medical didn't have enough to do.
So the chief engineer says; Dinky skirts are optional.
