I thought he was obnoxious, funny, helpful, and annoying in a way because he kept popping up unexpectedly to visit Captain Picard and his crew, telling them all the mistakes they made, and how imperfect they were compared to him. I think he's one of the best characters.

Personally I think they threw in Q episodes to keeep the series from going stale... so Q was comic releif to me, and yes he was funny, but not as funny as when Data malfunctions ;D

Eh, he's ok. I definitely liked him in Voyager better than TNG, because of his ardent wooing of Janeway.

I have mixed feelings about Q. Sometimes he could be an interesting character, but other times his appearances rated about as much as those dreary episodes about holodeck malfunctions. "Q-pid" for example.

"Q-pid" for example. I agree. I liked more episodes of him in voyager. I wish they had done a Q episode in Enterprise, or did they?

I see your point an Q atoz, and he did act like a kid, dulling things down a bit, acting as if humanity was a autistic child, or a toy at times.

He was inconsistant. One episode he would show up, trying seriously to teach Picard how much humanity still has to learn, then later he'd turn up making overly-judgmental statements about how savage and barbaric the human race is. I kept thinking, why don't you go judge the Klingons or something?

Amazing how he became so popular for appearing in so few episodes.

I can definitely understand that, Regulator. He wasn't too bad in the first episode and in the last one, but in between, he was better just ignored, for the most part.

Eh, I wasn't too fond of him, but he's something to talk about. I think the actor that played Q also played in days of our lives, lol.

He also turned up on Stargate as a perfectly loathesome NID officer.

Lol, he played a dude from Days of Our Lives. I don't think he was typecast there.
