Actually it does. *smiles* Faith can so easily be turning into fanatism. And you can do and allow done alot of cruel things under the cover of Faith. But Faith doesn't have to be religious, just think of the nazis, or the freedoms fighters all over the world, or even you pariotic neighbore.

Mac I understand what you mean by the Nazi's and groups like this. Faith without spirituality being used in an evil way. We obviously don't agree on all points though. Thats OK, it doesn't have to be that way. I stand by my statement about not everyone having a spiritual faith being evil. There are degrees of Good and evil. Its not a black and white thing ,but rather in infinite shades of gray in between. A person could be more evil in one area and more good in another. The situation factors in as well. What was truly very evil was the Spanish Inquisition centuries ago!!

But as a supporter of a given faith, doesn't that also mean that you accept all that have been done in the name of that faith?
If not, wouldn't it be a bit pointless to support that faith in the first place?
But you are actually a bit wrong about the nazi's, they did have spirituality, after all it is practical tool to control the masses with.

Wynn was simply selfish, but she had her limits. The Breen stayed neutral until they were sure of the direction of the war. Seems like they're more opportunists than anything else.
So, Weyoun was a fanatical religious zealout and Dukat was megalomaniac. I have to say Dukat, as Weyoun had principles.

One important point about answering this question is what does any given person considers to be more or less evil and to what degree?

But as a supporter of a given faith, doesn't that also mean that you accept all that have been done in the name of that faith? Not if they go against the teaching of that particular religion. Actually the Nazis were more involved with the occult than a spiritual faith. [This is Atoz. I merely editted this to add /quote tags, to make it easier to separate Mac's thoughts from Galileo's.]

Yes the Nazis were involved in the occult, but it was for the purpose of their conquest of other nations. This does not exactly parallel who was more evil in DS9.

He was pure evil I agree but I did very much like the episodes with Gul Dukat in. I especialy liked the episode where Gul Dukat sat on a sharp thorn I liked Dukats daughter: Ziyal. I was quite sad when she died and especialy the fact that Demar killed her!

Gul Dukat, definitely. Despite many opportunities to redeem himself, he chose to remain on the side of evil.

*Coughs* I feel the need to say that Gul Dukat technically didn't kill Jadzia, the Pah'Wraith(Sp?) inside of him did. Though I agree, that I think Dukat was the most evil. In fact, he is my favourite bad guy! Though I think I'd place the Weyouns in second, although they and the other Vorta were simply following what the Founders wanted. But they did so some thing on their own accord. (Well, the 'defecting' one wasn't evil. I wish he had lived. ) Winn... Was just a plain... Erm, I didn't like her. At all. The first moment I saw her I just KNEW I didn't like her. The kind of villan Dukat was, he covered up his evil-ness with nice-sounding lies, whereas Winn would simply put on a smile and say something evil and/or insulting.

Dukat got my vote. I can't find any redeeming qualities about this guy! He killed Jadzia, hated Garak, made Kira's mother his sex slave, killed Sisko, was partially responsible for Ziyal's death, allied himself with the dominion, and led to the destruction of Cardassia. And that's not even counting any of the things he did during the occupation of Bajor! He is definitely the most evil character in DS9, hands down.
