I liked sloan alot. He was kind of like Garak, you didn't know much about him and i thought section31 was an intesting concept kinda like the obsidian order or the tal shiar.

I liked Sloan to! I wish they had not killed him off, but knowing section 31, maybe there were more than one of him.

Yes he did.....long story!
....for a new thread/topic.
Back to the Valiant.......
As I recall only one cadet survived the battle with the Dominion battle ship aside from Jake Sisko and Nog.

The Valiant could have survived, but the cadet who was promoted to captain by the dying captain in their first battle of the Dominion war was inexperienced. He should have went back to the Federation and reported their intel to Star fleet command!

The Cadet Captain should have went back to Star Fleet to report to them about the Dominion Battleship instead of trying to engage it. It was too great of risk for such a small ship, even though for it's size it was very powerful!

Yes he certainly should of. I think he just wanted to impress his superiors by completing the mission. And yes the Valient (like the defiant) is a very powerfull ship. The onl two ships in starfleet classified as warships I think.

Later in the Dominion war there were more because in the fleet scenes it shows some of them. The scenes go by fast but if you look close you can see them with the other Federation ships.

Oh I never noticed that. Also I noticed in the dominion wars they used some of the maquis raiders. Must if took them back from the maquis of course and they were star fleet originaly.
