That's really interesting. I would guess it's certainly not being pulled by a string, with all those people around. It looks pretty windy there, though. That would be my first hypothesis.

If you google "ghost swing Argentina", you get lots of sites with differnt youtube recordings of it. So I'd say it probably isn't staged. But its wierd how only the center swing moves!

I see what you mean. Boy it's sad that so many people on these sites just accept it as paranormal without thinking about it. That's the power of wanting to believe at work I guess.
What we need is empirical observations. We should each visit playgrounds where we live. Maybe it's normal for one swing to go by itself. There are reasons I could think of. I notice it's the center swing out of three. Maybe it just gets used more often, so the chains have less chance to rust. It could be as simple as that.

Yeah people would rather just believe in ghosts whatever. They lookout for anything 'mysterious' and dont' bother to really look into it. I'll make it a point to check out the playgrounds in my area.

I stopped by a playground yesterday, but I didn't see any activity. But then the playground is screened by trees and buildings on all four sides, so there was virtually no wind. The playground in the videos looks much more open. It could be perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean for all we know!

My girlfriend and I were inthe park the other day and I noticed one swing moving alittle more than the others. Sure enoguh it was the one in the middle! But it wasnt swinging nearly as high as the one in the video. I woudnlt have noticed if I hadn't been looking for it.

With a stronger prevailing wind, it might have been swinging harder. That's just it. From the video we don't really know what the area surrounding the playground looks like. But I would bet the wind is responsible.

Well, I personally wouldn't trust a thing I saw on the Syfy channel, even their so-called "investigations". But I still think the wind is a good bet.

I hear that! Have you seen the new series they have, Paranormal Witness? Gods how ridiculous can you get?

Once again they blur the distinction between science documentaries and reenactments. An entire generation is going to grow up believing that the paranormal is real science! You have to just shake your head in sorrow...

These so-called "reality" shows are popular now because they don't have to spent a lot on sets or scriptwriters or even on the actors. Just hand out a few cameras and let them do their thing. It would be a refreshing change if they had a skeptical group for once. But people wouldn't want to watch their illusions being shattered.

I don't want to give the impression that I'm close minded about this. It's just that people don't realize how unreliable their perceptions are. Several experiments show that if you take people to a supposedly "haunted" house, they fall neatly into two categories. Believers in the paranormal will have "experiences", skeptics won't. I'm not saying the experience isn't "real", but you have to wonder if it's just your perception.
